Corporate Travel Managers Gather in Halifax
Canadian Alliance of Business Travel Hosts Education Exchange
Halifax, Nova Scotia (May 12, 2005) -- The Canadian Alliance of Business Travel is hosting the next in its series of “Connecting Canada” Education Exchanges today in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The series has been highly successful, with participants praising earlier Canadian Alliance Education Exchanges held in Calgary, Vancouver, and Toronto. The Canadian Alliance is an education and research association providing integral Canadian benchmarking data and educational exchanges for corporate travel executives.
The event provides corporate travel managers a unique opportunity to gather in a travel buyer-driven format to learn from colleagues and hear from experts on topics impacting corporate travel, such as:
- Auditing and Benchmarking Your T&E Program
- Building a Strategic Meeting Management Program
- The Potential of CANPASS AIR & Nexus Air Programs for Your Canadian and U.S. Business Travelers
- Corporate Online Booking Tool -- A Canadian Corporation’s Case Study
- Chartering Corporate Aircraft in Canada
- Sourcing Travel in the Canadian Marketplace
“We continue to hear from travel managers that Canadian Alliance Education Exchanges offer unparalleled learning opportunities because the agenda and discussion is driven by corporate travel buyers,” said Canadian Alliance President, Tanya Racz. “I am pleased to welcome travel manager participants to Halifax to experience the unique form of corporate travel education.”
As with other Canadian Alliance educational events, participants in the Canadian Alliance Education Exchange in Halifax can earn elective credit toward the industry’s only certification program, the Certified Corporate Travel Executive (CCTE) designation offered by the United States-based National Business Travel Association. CCTE is the certification for business travel management professionals who want to enhance their knowledge, skills and productivity.
The Canadian Alliance of Business Travel is a not-for-profit Canadian education and research association dedicated to providing an educational environment for corporate travel executives to exchange best practices and collectively foster strategies for success within the business travel industry.
