Participants Praise Canadian Alliance Education Exchange

Vancouver, BC. (November 11 2004) -- Corporate travel professionals from all over Western Canada who gathered here recently for the Canadian Alliance of Business Travel’s 2nd Educational Exchange Day are praising the event. Participants took part in a full day of education and networking with fellow travel buyers and with sponsors Scotiabank and the Hyatt Regency Vancouver.

“I was pleased to see how involved everyone was in the Educational Exchange Day and gratified by the positive feedback I received,” said Tanya N. Racz, Canadian Alliance president. “This was a unique educational opportunity for Canadian travel managers, and it gave attendees a chance to earn elective credit toward the industry’s only certification program, the National Business Travel Association’s Certified Corporate Travel Executive.”

As part of its unique affiliation with NBTA, the Canadian Alliance is able to offer its members education that counts as credit toward NBTA’s CCTE designation, the certification for business travel management professionals who want to enhance their knowledge, skills and productivity.

Participants praised the Exchange and the commitment of the Canadian Alliance to deliver the most comprehensive educational program for travel buyers with responsibilities in Canada.

Jackie Ancrom, Sr. Treasury Analyst, Finning International Inc., said after the Educational Exchange Day, “It gave me great insight to develop and research how we at Finning manage our Travel Management in a Global perspective. Very valuable, and the timing was excellent with our Travel and Entertainment Card RFP.”

Shaun East of Scotiabank, an Annual Sponsor of the Canadian Alliance, said it was “a productive day with insightful topics.”

The next Canadian Alliance Educational Exchange Day is scheduled for February 1, 2005, in Calgary, and the Alliance gearing up for its Inaugural Conference & Trade Show in Toronto, March 7-8, 2005. For Educational Exchange Day information, including scheduling and registration, see www.caobt.com.
