40 Begin Professional Designation Program at NBTA Canada Toronto Event
The National Business Travel Association Canada (NBTA Canada), the leading provider of education and professional resources for corporate travel professionals in Canada, yesterday hosted 40 corporate travel professionals at a sold-out Education Day in Toronto.
Half of the day's agenda was dedicated to the Canadian Fundamentals of Business Travel Management course. Attendees who go on to complete the course online or through additional classroom work will be eligible to take the Corporate Travel Expert exam. Those who successfully complete the exam will earn the professional designation CTE, which demonstrates the holder has a fundamental understanding of the principles and practice of travel management.
The program is a version of the Fundamentals of Business Travel Management course offered by NBTA, the parent organization of NBTA Canada, with content tailored for the Canadian market. Many participants in the program were sales staff and clients of the Vision 2000 Travel Group. Vision 2000 has committed to enhancing its client services by having most members of its national sales force earn the CTE designation. It is also encouraging the participation of clients in the program.
The NBTA Canada Toronto Education Day also featured remarks from Canadian Airport Council President & CEO, Jim Facette, on how Canada is positioning itself for the growth of aviation, and from Concur Director of Travel Technology, Fred Fredericks, on Canadian business travel technology.
